Sales Tax Overview

Billing Migration Notice:  This article may not apply to you if you have not migrated yet. To see if you have been migrated, please review the article: How do I know if I am on the new billing system?

Sales tax is a government-required tax that applies to certain products and services.

Partners are responsible for any applicable sales tax on fees charged by Anytime Mailbox, such as platform or service fees. Whether tax applies depends on state and local tax rules, the type of service provided, and where Anytime Mailbox has established a sales tax nexus.

Why Am I Seeing Sales Tax Now?

As part of our Billing Modernization, sales tax is now calculated and displayed through an updated billing system.

This means:

  • Sales tax is calculated automatically based on location and service type

  • Tax appears as a clearly labeled line item on invoices (when applicable)

  • Billing follows consistent, system-driven tax handling across locations

Who Does Sales Tax Apply To?

Sales tax may apply to both customers and partners, depending on the service and the state where it is provided.

Sales Tax on Customer Invoices

When required by law:

  • Sales tax is applied to mailbox subscriptions and related services

  • Tax appears as a separate line item based on customer's billing zip code or address

Sales Tax on Partner Invoices

When required by law:

  • Sales tax may apply to platform or service fees charged by Anytime Mailbox.

  • Tax is calculated based on applicable jurisdictional requirements.

  • When applicable, tax appears as a separate line item on your invoice.

  • Tax amounts are reflected clearly in reporting and statements.
